Sheryl Pruitt, M.Ed., ET/P, Parkaire Consultants, Marietta, Georgia

Ms. Pruitt is the Clinical Director of Parkaire Consultants, a clinic she founded over twenty-five years ago to serve neurologically impaired individuals. Prior to the founding of Parkaire Consultants, Ms. Pruitt conducted a State of Georgia exemplary Model Learning Disability Program and taught behavior-disordered students in a psychoeducational setting.

At the clinic, Ms. Pruitt sees children, adolescents, and adults. She teaches clients about their neurological disorders. Ms. Pruitt does the intakes and clinical screenings at Parkaire. She also leads rounds where cases are discussed by the staff on a weekly basis.

She has served on many charity boards for neurological disorders and is currently serving on the Professional Advisory Board of the Tourette Syndrome Foundation of Canada and the Advisory Board of the Brad Cohen Foundation. .

She speaks regionally, nationally and internationally educating parents, children, adolescents and professionals about neurological disorders and teaches skills to remediate deficits caused by these disorders. Ms. Pruitt teaches professional seminars and learning courses for health care professionals and educators.

She co-authored the books Teaching the Tiger, Tigers, Too, Series, Challenging Kids, Challenged Teachers, and contributed to an Oxford Press book on Tourette syndrome for professionals that is in press.

She shares both her professional and personal experiences living with children, a spouse and herself with these conditions.
