Michelle Dunn, Ph.D., Montefiore Autism Center, Yonkers, New York
Dr. Michelle Dunn is director of clinical services at the Montefiore Autism Center located in Yonkers, NY.  She is a pediatric neuropsychologist and neurophysiologist who has worked with children on the autism spectrum for the past 30 years.

Dr. Dunn's interest in autism began at Boston University from which she graduated with a degree in special education. Following her master's and doctoral work in neuropsychology at City University of New York, she began her research career in brain behavior relationships in children with developmental disabilities and established a clinical practice in neuropsychology. Her neurophysiologic research, funded by the National Institutes of Health and the National Alliance for Autism Research, focused on the behavioral and electrophysiologic correlates of auditory processing differences in children with autism. Currently her work involves developing, implementing, and empirically assessing innovative treatments. Her great joy is in translating what she has learned from research into clinical practice. Dr. Dunn has written numerous journal articles and chapters about children on the autism spectrum and has provided staff training in her intervention methods to many schools in the greater New York metropolitan area and throughout the world, including schools in such places as Guam, Japan, Columbia, and Senegal. She is the author of SOS: Social Skills in Our Schools, a comprehensive approach to developing social skills, and co-author with Deborah Fein of Autism in Your Classroom.
