Joan Adams, Masters Degree in Special Education, Speech Language Pathologist, Georgia Network of Education and Therapeutic Services at Horizon Academy, Lowndes County School System, Valdosta, Georgia

Joan Adams is a licensed Speech Language Pathologist with the Lowndes County School System.  She received her undergraduate and master"s degree in Special Education with an emphasis on Speech Language Pathology from Valdosta State University.  Mrs.  Adams has worked with students from pre-school to high school with varying disabilities for the past nine years.  Ms. Adams also currently serves students form Lowndes County Schools who are attending, Horizon Academy Georgia Network of Educational and Therapeutic Services.  For the past 5 years, Mrs. Adams has worked as a speech language pathologist part time doing private therapy for individuals with communication disorders. Mrs. Adams has also presented at the 2012 Georgia Council of Exceptional Students conference and the 2012 Institute Designed for Educating All Students.
