Jennifer Perry, founder and Co-director of Developing Minds, has over 10 years of experience in working with children and families with special needs. Her journey began in college as an ABA therapist, then to a special education teacher who quickly discovered RDI. Upon hearing Dr. Gutstein speak at the 2-day, Jennifer pursued certification and started her own RDI practice. She is now the Co-director of Developing Minds, a collaborative treatment center for children with a variety of special needs, that places RDI at the core of the treatment model by integrating RDI principles into all treatment areas. Jennifer has spent a great deal of time working with other professionals to reform the quality of treatment and education for children with special needs. Over the past year, she has worked closely with Developing Minds, Director of Feeding, Grace Gardner to develop a more effective approach to addressing some of the difficulties with eating that many of these children face. The team has been trained in the SOS approach to feeding and is currently working to combine this approach with the principles of RDI to implement a highly effective feeding program. Jennifer has a passion for the educational issues facing this population and is committed to helping foster the changes that are needed to promote meaningful learning. Jennifer has completed introductory HANDLE training, ADOS certification, and is amongst a small group of professionals in the world that is currently working with Dr. Gutstein to develop the Dynamic Intelligence Program. She recently had the honor of presenting this new curriculum at a national conference in San Diego, alongside Dr. Gutstein. Jennifer is dedicated to delivering the highest quality treatment for children and families which fuels her passion for RDI and the continued development of Developing Minds.
